JACK BANKS

Carlos Meira was born in Rio de Janeiro and studied at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where he attended the Arts Course.

​

He worked as an art director in many advertising agencies and moved to Portugal in the beginning of the nineties. In Europe he developed his first works with papers.

​

Back to Brazil in 1996, started to dedicate his time to the illustrations. In 2000 he had his first individual exhibition and fully embraced  his career as an illustrator. Since then he has organized seven individual exhibitions and illustrated seven books, not to mention several advertising campaigns of important companies from Brazil and overseas.
